Manager Controls System

Job Purpose:

To lead a team of control systems engineers to design and develop embedded control systems for automation of electro-mechanical equipment and processes

 

Qualification:

 BS (preferably Masters) Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Controls System Engineering.

Experience:

Min 8 years’ experience in design and development of embedded control systems (preferably for controlling/automating mechanical equipment and processes). Minimum three years in lead role

Skills & Abilities

  1. Hands on experience and good knowledge of microcontrollers/processors and other hardware components together with proven programming/coding skills and knowledge of wired and wireless communication protocols.
  2. Good knowledge of motors, actuators, motor controllers, encoders and feedback systems etc.
  3. Knowhow of process instrumentation and control; temperature, pressure, flow sensors, pumps, motors and VFDs.
  4. Able to lead, self-motivated and highly organized
  5. Excellent problem solving skills and able to communicate effectively

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzing and figuring out control system requirements and specifications to automate mechanical equipments. Concept and detailed designing of automation systems (both new and existing).
  2. Leading a team of engineers to design and develop embedded controls system, identifying and selecting control system’s components and capabilities, modeling and designing embedded control systems at system level (both hardware and software), writing and implementing control algorithms.
  3. Developing the embedded control systems for reliability, robustness, safety and cost effectiveness.
  4. Developing test criteria/plans and monitoring/reporting test activities.
  5. Debugging and delivering field deployment ready control systems according to approved project plans.
  6. Developing and motivating team resources.
  7. Reporting and documentation of selection and development of control systems together with related operation and maintenance manuals.

Job Purpose:

To undertake work related to detailed thermal design and simulations of solar thermal systems

Qualification:

BS Mechanical Engineering (Experience in Thermal Design, Direct Steam Generation)
